Our Farfar Camp is situated in the pretty coastal village of Lima, in a remote part of the Musandam Peninsula and is an ideal base camp for expedition work. Set in a working date plantation, accommodation is in barasti huts or canvas tents (depending upon the group size).
The camp is named after the abundant yellow-flowering Farfar trees that surround the farm. Students can reach the camp by speedboat or dhow and venture from here into mountain areas rich with ancient ruins.
We are developing an organic farm here, which will eventually provide most of the food for guests. Omani metalworkers, engravers and potters can be brought to the camp to demonstrate their art.
