Our field studies programme enables students and teachers to gain knowledge in one of the most incredible areas of the world. They are able to build on the knowledge they have gained in a classroom, and use that in the field. Specific case studies helps to reinforce the students learning experience. It is well known how important experiential learning is in every student’s educational development.
We combine knowledge and fun in a new and interactive way.
We make sure to keep the balance between the time in the classroom and the time in the field. We use our classroom time to make sure everyone understands the learning techniques, the equipment we use and the risk taken when they start exploring the great outdoors. Each day students will be given work sheets to complete in the field whilst taking measurements and collecting data.
Led by Absolute Adventure Field Studies Centre staff with specialist knowledge and expertise who, after prior negotiation of course content, take full responsibilities for teaching the course. Your active involvement is strongly encouraged, whatever in contributing to the teaching supervising and assisting the students or allocating students and staff to the most appropriate small working groups.
